This issue of pseudepigrapha came up here a few weeks ago. It’s an old issue, a very old issue, one that has been discussed since the early compilations. The issue of canonicity had to deal with authorship.

What is new is the book that is being offered for sale. By using such a hot button word as “Forged” the author knows he’ll be able to sell a whole lot more books than if he picked a title like “On the Psuedopigrapha and Issues of the Canon”, or some such scholarly title.
