This was well worth posting.

We are in a period of deep economic, political and social pessimism. Yet an experienced, ultracautious financier who happens to be the world’s most successful long-term investor keeps saying that the country’s best days are in the future. He backs up his words by backing up his truck and loading it full of stocks.

The implication is obvious.

Buffet has always bought hugely during dips in the economy.

I wouldn’t look to him for assurance that our long-term prognosis is stable however. He is somewhat blinded by capitalism.
