The headline is misleading. The article says they discussed doing it, not that they did it.

The article is by Sharyl Attkisson, who has recently made it her business to present the wingnut version of Fast and Furious. She provides .pdfs for other assertions in her article, but not for the assertion in her first paragraph. She has previously made it her business to promote anti-vaccine propaganda. I don’t trust her.

If you want a reputable source on Fast and Furious, try Tim Steller of the Arizona Daily Star.
