Here is one area I think the USA should actually lessen regulations. If a nation that has high standards of medical regulation and pharmaceutical testing (as well as ethical), etc approves of a drug then the USA should also approve it without additional FDA reviews.

Some sort of auditing between nations so that they get the FDA stamp of approval so there is minimal delays.

That would cut down on red tape and on costs.

I would also allow drug purchases from overseas into the USA, something that Bush and the Republicans (with some Democrat help I remember) made illegal.
