If you’re opposed to gun violence, you can’t condone it even if you find the victim to be distasteful.

But you can blame the victim in this case for promoting violence, abusing the boy, and keeping guns in his house in an irresponsible manner. A 10 year old should not have access to a .357 Magnum while his father is asleep.
