I am looking to use a quadcopter to get artistic or commercial shots. Maybe just hire a guy with the copter and get that shot for the local real estate guy and make some $$. What I would think I would be allowed to do is commercial work withing the established specs for RC planes. Altitude, distance and size limits accepted. To me that privilege (right?) should be assumed and built right in.

Fly next to a wedding for fun? No problem. Fly by a wedding party to get the sunset and it’s illegal because I charged fir it?

If this gets a it out of hand withing those rules civil law allows for any damages to be taken care of. We do not need the FAA to tell me my RC /webcam copter is illegal as soon as I earn a buck with it.
