Well, I’m convinced now. After all, the FBI would never lie, and email spoofing doesn’t exist. Case closed.

I don’t automatically accept this as proof, but in the real world there would be grave consequences if the FBI lied about something this important, and then were found out. Occam’s Razor says it’s more likely they’re telling the truth.
