Actually, AFAICR, Scalia was one of those Justices for whom the ups and downs of any health issues he might/might not have had wasn’t fodder for the glorified gossip-columns that pass for political reportage in this country. His health, whenever the subject came up, was generally thought to be OK. Unlike, say, Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Anthony Kennedy: every cold or dizzy spell is taken as an impending visit from The Reaper (whom we know keeps to his own schedule!).
