re: #12 Don’t Blame Me, I Voted for Kodos
Interesting tidbit regarding the leaked tax return - the copy provided didn’t come from either one of his tax preparers, nor from a federal/state/local agency. It was provided by someone inside the Trump organization, or from someone who he had provided the return to as part of a business dealing.

At this point in time I wouldn’t be at all surprised that it was either someone connected with either Russian or other banking interests who are uncomfortable with the amount of heat being generated by Trump’s non-disclosures.
I’m not usually one to scream “distraction” but … yeah.
1.) “Client Copy”
2.) DCJ said right off the bat that Trump could well be the source.
3.) The release shows Trump did pay a non-trivial amount of net income tax, his supporters will keep repeating that as being the real takeaway.
4.) Notice that we suddenly aren’t talking about the AHCA’s abysmal CBO score or the White House’s own, even worse leaked score.
It’s not that relevant whether Trump intends for something to be a distraction. What matters is whether people are distracted by it.
