Sasse is not going to be some noble hold-out against self-destructive atavism. He’s just one of those guys who probably laments the passing of the founder of National Review because now there are fewer syllables/word in the articles.

Yup.

Sasse is also a Christian. As such, he is less moral than I am (because I care about everyone; by-and-large Christians care about other Christians - which is why they would take my civil rights if they could - and liberal Christian denominations are no exception).
