One of those “dust in my eye” stories:

Jia Sarnicola and Zuri Copeland are 4 -year-old preschoolers from Miami.

They implore their moms to dress them in matching outfits. They insist they are not just best friends. Not even sisters. They insist that they are twins.

Jia’s birthday is June 3rd and Zuri is June 5th. Close enough for them to consider that the same time.

They shared a birthday party, when other children told them that because of their skin color, they couldn’t be twins.

The girls started to cry. And then Jia replied, “You don’t know anything.

We are both 4. We are the same height. We have the same birthday…

…and we share the same soul.”
