As previously noted, the flag was still at half staff on the Washington Monument this morning, until it was actively raised. It had to be a direct order once its status was noticed.

They’ll find a way to gloss all over it by throwing all the blame on some underling. Claim the order to raise the flag came not from the Oval Office, but from some guy who didn’t know what he was doing and so has been “disciplined” for his error. But now the flags are done, so why can’t the media just move on to something “important” like praising Donny’s prowess as a “dealmaker.”
