Rental Giant Hertz Could Be in Bankruptcy in Weeks, Destroying What’s Left of the Used Car Market

Hertz going bankrupt would flood the used car market with hundreds of thousands of cars to sell off as assets all at once.

Hertz is filing chapter 11, not chapter 7. Business will continue largely as usual; stock holders will get wiped out and bond holders will take a haircut.

At least, I hope that that’s what happens. I’ve been President’s Circle for years. May need to rent something again once this Covid thing is over.
