Yeah: and the reaction from the Cuban-American community will be interesting as well: Mayorkas was part of the Obama Admin’s team working on better relations (and he worked with Israel, too, on cybersecurity issues: being Cuban and Jewish - and an immigrant/refugee success story - can’t hurt). Though I’m guessing “Marquito” Rubio will probably lead the charge against confirming him.
