One pedantic note: you refer to “Christ” as a different title than a Jewish “Messiah”, but it ought to be mentioned that the English words are derivatives of different source words that often mean the same thing.
Too many people think of a single nomen “Jesus Christ” as one name in our modern sense, but it is not. That’s why the Historical Jesus stuff (of which Sergey and I have been discussing) do not refer to the “Historical Christ”, as that title implies accepting the religious title of “Christ”, which for Greeks is synonymous with “Messiah”.
