The problem is what these people consider to be “persecuted” is nowhere close to what persecution was in Biblical times.

Once we start crucifying Christians upside down, burning them alive, beating them to a bloody pulp in a jail cell or boiling them in a vat of oil then maybe we can start using the word “persecution”.
