You wouldn’t have needed all of them, or most of them, or more than the tiniest fraction of them. 1% would have more than sufficed, as would winning back as many of the third-party voters, write-in voters, or nonvoters.

But no. Obama decided to let his legacy be destroyed because that nice man from Kentucky refused to play along.

Your faith in the ability of President Obama to have set this narrative for such revelations is touching. The Republicans would have freaked out (of course) and most in the main stream media would have gone with a “Desperate Obama edges toward a coup to nullify expected election loss of weak candidate Hillary” narrative. It’s impossible to say how it would have played out.

There was (and is) no magic bullet for this shit. tr*mp is just a symptom. The problem is that the Republican party is a party of hateful bigots and this can be made to do very well in US elections.
