re: #189 Blind Frog Belly White

I had a 1986 GTI. It felt really quick, especially after the Toyota Tercel it replaced. The standard Golf had 89hp then, and the GTI had 110, which felt like a HUGE difference! I never found it wanting for power, even driving with Mrs. FBW over the Rockies, when other cars were dragging behind it kept right on chugging at 70mph with nary a complaint.

And that is why my ‘08 Rabbit is a blast. It is just under 3,000 lbs (no leather, no sun roof window) and has the 170 hp 2.5, 20 valve, 5 cylinder.

I had a ‘92 Golf with the 110 HP engine as it was the last of the Mark 2 era and they used up the GTi engines. It was fun. I put a sport suspension on it.

The ‘08 is very quick. Fun quick. Get in trouble quick!
