We WON the U.S. Senate race in Alabama!

Seven months ago when we launched this campaign, there weren’t a whole lot of people who thought a Democrat could win in this state.

But you did. Thousands and thousands of good Americans stepped up to win this race for Alabama and for our country. We ran a historic campaign and gave Alabamians something to be proud of, —-.

We went to the people and talked to them about the issues that mattered to them: affordable healthcare, creating good paying jobs, and making this a more fair and just country.

And most importantly, we listened.

This historic victory is yours as much as it is mine. So every single day I serve as Alabama’s next U.S. Senator, I will remember that.

I will remember the single mother who is worried her child might lose health insurance if we don’t fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program. I will remember the former iron workers whose jobs were shipped overseas at no fault of their own.

I will remember the courageous women who used their voices to speak out about the pain brought upon them by our opponent.

And I will remember the hope felt by the thousands of people I met across the state who want a better future for this country.

In the U.S. Senate, I will be a voice that hopefully makes you proud, whether we agree or disagree.

So from the bottom of my heart, —-, I thank you so much for your support in this race. We made history and no one will ever forget what we did here in Alabama.
