And in regard to mRNA vaccines specifically, since they seem to focus on this as an excuse for opposing the new technology: The doctors who invented mRNA technology in medicine have been working on refining it since the 1980’s. This is not new tech; it’s been worked on for literal decades. The technology was slow to be adopted because the researchers were basically ignored as cranks, so they went off and founded BioNTech.

And yet there is the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and Astra Zenica outside the USA, neither of which use mRNA technology, and anti-vaxxers oppose them as well. So it isn’t about mRNA technology.

Every vaccine (including polio) had anti-vaxxers opposing them.
