Being the perpetual butt of jokes on late night television was doing harm to the GOP. There are plenty of casual voters who let these public humiliations influence them. I think Palin realized she could never build credibility as long as she was the focus of so much ridicule, so she decided to fight back when the opportunity presented itself.

Good for her - let’s see if it has any lasting effect. I think it may.

If folks keep piling on their disapproval, thereby sending more of these liberal loons careers (like Rosie O’Donnell’s) south, to a point where work is mostly not available, maybe, just maybe, some will decide it just ain’t worth putting their careers on the line.
