Regarding “Earth Hour”, wherein the eco-conscious bourgeoisie blogs by candlelight (conveniently forgetting that computers eat juice too):

I could get behind a “Politics-Free Hour”, when everyone who normally spends time defending her positions against the eeevul opposition shuts the fuck up about politics for sixty minutes and reflects instead on how to improve his own life.

In fact, I’m going to do that right now, as an alternative to the save-the-Earth hypocrisy.
