i’m going to take a wild guess and say that being enslaved is probably going to dim your view of humanity and the value of human life

i mean, maybe it’s the opposite! But I’ll guess that no, it isn’t.

maybe constantly being beaten and raped and imprisoned and worked half (or fully) to death and watching your loved ones taken away from you and also beaten and raped, and seeing no hope or way out is actually going to change the way you think about people

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that it’s probably a pretty rough life and might take its toll on the mental health of the slave

And ya know what? I’m not going to waggle my finger and scold the guy who started a rebellion, because, ya know, he was a slave, like a really real actual slave, not a figure of speech slave
