Romney just wants the job; everything else is negotiable. If you have any doubts about this, just compare the guy he was 10 years ago (self-described “progressive moderate Republican”) to the “severely conservative” guy he claims to be today.

I agree with that. I think if there was a democratic controlled legislature, I would be OK with Mitt as President because he would be a moderate, as he was in his stint as a Republican Governor in MA.

But with the Tea Billies running Congress, having Mitt in the oval office would be scary at best. He’d be a wet fish rubber stamp for their initiatives. Because that is what he would have to be to get re-elected. Which would be the only goal for his first term.
