Britain, despite the curious “ethnic purity” beliefs of some of the Nazis and Tory scum living here now, has been welcoming free-spending invaders for millenia and integrating them into Britishness over time. We have a long and storied tradition of Roman warriors impregnating Celtic barmaids, Normans (themselves descendants of Scandanavian freebooters gone native on the North French shores) marrying into the existing Anglo-Saxon aristocracy who were themselves recent imports from the Continent and so on and so on while the Irish and Celts washed back and forth across the Irish Sea getting so mixed up no-one can tell the difference now. Basically it’s invaders all the way down, probably starting from the Doggerland peoples moving west around 6000BC as the seas rose.

We don’t have a lot of Africans here, we didn’t make a point of importing rape-toys and field-hands en masse from there in the past like some places but we’ve got multiethnicity up the wazoo otherwise.

There’s the small matter of empire, the treatment of colonized peoples, the dilemma of inviting subjects and former subjects to aid in the rebuilding of Britain after WWII, and the racial issues that fostered that are both specific to the UK and also broadly part of the larger story of empire in the last couple of centuries. Not exactly slavery on the the model of the US (though the slavers were also subjects of the crown for most of that), but plenty of examples of appalling brutality in there.
