I don’t think they made enough Christmas movies this year.

Gee, which Christmas movie should I watch this year?

- The story of the workaholic single woman who goes back to her small home town for Christmas and ends up falling in love with the only guy in town who isn’t married or old, learning through the spirit of Christmas that she was wrong for ever having ambitions or dreams beyond being a stay-home mom in a rural dead zone.

- The story of the “totally normal” family who suddenly have a major crisis happen just before the holidays, only for the spirit of Christmas to magically fix all their problems rather than leaving them homeless/in debt up to their eyeballs/social pariahs.

- The story of the con-artist/small-time crook who gets caught criming just before the holidays and who should rightly end up in jail after a long string of similar arrests, yet the spirit of Christmas instead changes his character such that he ends the film becoming a beacon of the community.

- Or the standard holiday-themed slasher flick that reads like it was churned out by a Hollywood AI.
