I guess the problem I’m having here is trying to stay within the context of my post and your suggested change.
When I posted:
Formula for velocity? Δv = v2 - v1
..and claimed the translations were as follows:
In plain English: “The change in velocity is equal to the second velocity measurement minus the first velocity measurement.”
In “mathspeak”: “Delta v equals v-sub-2 minus v-sub-1.”
You replied that the mathspeak translation should be stated as:
Change in delta V.
Since I was talking about change in velocity, not change in acceleration rate, this change was what I believed didn’t make any sense in the original context.
Moving away from the original context of my post, and on to a newer and semi-related topic, yes, there can be a change in Δv.
