I know. That’s all Glenn Beck we’re seeing.

I still put him in “rock and roll” territory. More like the band that makes a big emotive show of their live performances, and then leaves it on stage. It IS them you see up there, it’s not 100% fake, but it’s also part of the show. I don’t believe the Beck we see on screen is the whole dude.

I think it’s just too easy to assume he’s insane and believes it all 100%. And that also absolves Fox News of some responsibility. This guy has a staff, he has a producer, he has people at Fox News who fine-tune his show, there are meetings, there is a apparatus that is very calculated that puts this guy on the air. it’s not just “wacky guy goes wacky on camera and he’s totally insane wow we can’t control him”. His staff has to know what he’s saying, they have to hew to a script, they have sets, cameras, props.

What I’m sorta seeing here is a lot of people who know a lot about acting and not much about broadcasting and all the stuff that goes into a broadcast.
