Reagan was pure genius, really. He had 3 or 4 goals and in spite of missteps he accomplished them. He knew how to communicate and keep his detractors off balance. We felt safe during his time, because we knew nobody would mess with us, because our enemies respected him...He was the last (and perhaps only) politician I felt any personal attachment to. God bless his memory.
