Yeah there are certain principles I have that I don’t believe we should compromise. The ones you bring up are big ones. And you’re right. Compromise involves the other side giving something up too. I haven’t seen any desire for that. I’m not going to want to play nice with them until they acknowledge that my women, minority, LGBT, friends and family should have the same rights as they do. Until then, I’m just not in the mood.

What I want is reality based democratic governance. Republicans do not want that. They want an oligarchy propped up by lies and bullshit.

No compromise between these two positions is possible. As indicated upthread, a large scale cult deprogramming effort is pretty much what is needed to get wingnuts back in contact with reality.
