I got a cut from my stylist on Tuesday. It cost $50 and I gave her a $17.50 tip, because I’m well aware of the economics of renting a chair in a salon, plus she’s worth it. I color my own hair because I cannot even begin to afford letting someone else do it.

ETA: and I live in Mesa, Arizona. It would cost significantly more 10 miles northwest in Scottsdale.

I trim my own bangs and braid the rest.
