This is a fun thread for me. I’m not wired for movies or TV so I have only a vague idea of who these people are.

One advantage of being an American expat is that you are aware of what is going on in the USA without being overwhelmed and overloaded by it all.

I was aware that there was some TV show featuring hirsute rednecks who seemed to embody the modern American masculine ideals of rugged independence and self-reliance.

And also, unsurprisingly enough, also embody the redneck traits of bigotry and small-mindedness…
