Looks like I started a shitstorm over on Huffpo.

The last line in the article there is an apology from someone who was outraged at NPR:
“I took NPR out of context and had a stupid moment,” wrote D.G. Davies, who had accused the network of condoning violence. “Never underestimate one’s capacity to learn. Sometimes it’s painful. But it’s valuable above pride.”
Some people can admit when they are wrong, and should be encouraged for doing so.
As for comments on Huffington Post articles, my computer won’t display them (it blocks their Facebook comment platform due to numerous cross-site scripting problems and such). The penalties of strong anti-virus software means I can’t read some Websites’ comment sections (especially Facebook).
