The volatility is like nothing I have seen before and that is 100% due to trump. I don’t remember in all previous recessions/down turns or even growth spurts anything like these reversals on a regular basis. This is what presidenting by social media creates.

I think the volatility was similar in 1987 after the crash. Indeed, the day after the crash, the market rose about 5.9%.
