Ugh. People piss me off.

Saw a room this weekend in a house that would allow me to get to work and get a bit of money saved and some bills paid before I move back into a place of my own. Granted, this means that I won’t have my boyfriend or my cat with me, since the rules for the house say no pets and no boyfriends sleeping over at all, but as a short-term solution it would have been manageable. The rent and the bills are low and it’s month to month, which is perfect.

I saw the room late Friday afternoon and committed to it Saturday morning. Another girl saw it Friday morning and didn’t call the landlady to say she wanted it until last night, after the landlady had already agreed the room was mine. Now the landlady is saying that the other girl saw it first so she should get priority. I’m arguing that because I gave her a commitment to move in first, that means far more.

Now I’m stuck in limbo waiting for her to “think about things” and call me back. This is bullshit. I made a firm commitment to move in. We even made arrangements for paying the deposit and the rent. I was hoping to move in today or tomorrow because I start my job Tuesday. I’ve got one week of training here in Austin, and then next week I’m flying out to California for more training. I don’t have any other options but this room or blowing all my money on a hotel. I don’t have time to deal with this nonsense.
