Tough day to be on the Religious Right….syllogism goes like this:

1. There is a God
2. God is on our side
3. Our side lost

Therefore either God does not exist or God is not on our side (or someone threw God on the roof and he can’t get down)

You forget: “WE WERE LACKING IN FAITH AND HE IS TESTING US! WE MUST REDOUBLE OUR EFFORTS!”
