That’s the thing - given how Trump, and by extension Bannon, feels about all the leaking and all that, they probably don’t want to appoint anyone they don’t trust. But they probably don’t KNOW 500 people they trust. And apparently they’re unwilling to accept the judgement of their Cabinet appointees - at least two of them proposed deputies that Trump/Bannon found unacceptable.

Another way of looking at this is that Trump/Bannon can’t find 500 people who are shitty enough to meet their standards.

Perhaps there is hope for the human race after all.
