Wendell, I share that viewpoint. With many of these peoples, they don’t get their ideas FROM fox news, they watch fox news because it REINFORCES their views. This is baked in. Nothing short of an economic depression will shake them, and then they are more likely to support the Nazi over the Socialist. We saw this movie before. FDR (and the people who supported him) saved this nation from fascism.

My friend who avoids politics with me also detests corporate America; his only comment on the tax bill was his disapproval of limiting our SALT deductions. Unfortunately, he is a one issue voter — anti-choice. He can certainly be persuaded on economic issues.

Another one hates the tax bill — but he is a personal friend of Joel Pollack and so buys into all kinds of ridiculous theories. However, he again is someone persuadable on economic issues.
