Peace is not the absence of conflict.

There are those who would would submit to slavery in order to end war.

Then there are those who think compromise and coexistence with those they don’t like is slavery.

Ta-Nehisi Coates mentioned the human cost in having to fight the Civil War in his response to Greenwald. He did a great job too in that post. Short of a few people the comment thread was very engaging.
