If the Bush tax cuts on the wealthy haven’t created jobs or boosted the economy why does the GOP keep taking the budget hostage in order to extend them? Probably because they know that ending them would boost revenue and help reduce the deficit gap.

Deep down I think they realize that the tax cuts were and are bad for America, but as long as they can remain a millstone around Obama’s neck they’re going to do whatever they can to keep them in place.

One asshole with more money than he can ever spend does jack shit to help the economy. Giving companies a tax break to create jobs when there is no demand for their product does jack shit to drive the economy.

A regular guy with savings and extra money to spend on the weekend? That drives the economy.
