No, Apple doesn’t have the technology to do it — the government is arguing (again — we did this during the Clinton administration) that they should develop the technology to break into phones and build it into all phones. Which would result, after about 10 seconds, in hackers of all stripes being able to break into everyone’s phone.

I say Apple is right and the government is wrong. The good guys won this in the last round, and I hope they win it again.

So, what you’re saying is that the government, going through the correct channels by getting a judges order, has no right to ever search any private property in a criminal investigation? Because the phone, while an awesome technological wonder developed in my lifetime, is property.
