That rambling and repetitive speech was similar to my what my mom had in her early stages. She went downhill fast, to say the least. In two years from diagnosis, she was no longer able to speak. About 10 months after that, she became incontinent and required hospice care.

And not long after that, she passed away.

I can’t remember the name of the disease - it wasn’t Alzheimer’s, but something else and it was particularly aggressive and fast.
