Massachusetts GOP governor Charlie Baker got the endorsement of the party, but it wasn’t by a large enough percentage, so he will be facing THIS ASSHAT for the nomination:

His only rival, Scott Lively, a fringe candidate with hardly any staff or fund-raising, managed to win 27.7 percent of support from delegates, easily clearing the 15 percent threshold of delegate support to qualify for the primary ballot.

Lively is best known for two things:

1) A scurrilous piece of garbage called “The Pink Swastika,” which alleges “homosexuality in the Nazi Party contributed to extreme militarism in Nazi Germany.”

In other words, he’s a horrible, horrible person.

Now Baker, who is a very popular governor in Massachusetts, has to spend time fending off the right wing nutjobs. Personally, I think it’s time for these people to get out of the Republican party.
