I also believe that communities should own their own cable distribution systems, that go to each property. I’m clearly on the minority on this one as many Americans are still content for private companies to run cables on their land. Around here it is Cox and ATT.

Cable TV really started in Everett WA, because they couldn’t get the Seattle channels very well. They put large antennas, cut for each frequency, up on hills and ran coax to people’s houses. That’s why CATV stands for Community Antenna Television. People need to be reminded of that.
