OK, even leaving aside for the moment the yet-again-another revelation that Facebook is an evil influence, one really has to wonder what (if any) factual incidents were behind all that “neighborly” anxiety and paranoia? “Crime that they had seen happening across the street”?? What “crime”? How often? Was it ever reported to authorities?
I don’t know enough background to make an informed judgement here, but trying to excuse what amounts to an extrajudicial execution based on Internet gossip strikes me as being BS of the first order.
