Andy Murray gave another impressive display as he saw off France’s 26th seed Gilles Simon in straight sets to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon.

The British number one broke serve to love in the opening game and played superbly in a 6-1 6-4 6-4 victory.

Murray, seeded fourth, gave further evidence that his form is returning after a difficult few months and he will be optimistic going into week two.
