The horrible thing is that all 4 of the calls you got today may have come from the same professional fundraising company, maybe even the same phone room. They are required to maintain their own DNC, so hopefully you will not be bothered again. However, it really might take a few days for you number to be cycled out of their systems.

Oh, they definitely came from the same phone number and caller ID—and identified themselves as professional fundraisers. I didn’t think charitable solicitations were exempt unless they were charities you had previously donated to.

I’ve been getting a bunch lately from the area code where I used to live. Thinking it is a friend who’s changed phone #s, I will answer and then get pitched for police benevolent associations and on and on. This all just started happening recently. I had been call free for quite awhile. So I wonder where they all suddenly got my number again.
