Speaking of disassociation from reality, the topic of actual mental illness has cropped up when trying to comprehend the RWNJ.
One interesting point that I have seen brought up is lead poisoning due to gun ranges and proximity to high levels of lead from expended bullets.

These fellows, the former Army Environmental Health Agency, have chapter and verse on that. They and their Army Corps of Engineers counterparts oversee the western world’s busiest indoor and outdoor ranges. You can get a lot of their stuff online.
