I was going to post this on Facebook, but decided to dump it here instead.

2017 ACA enrollment is now open. My premium is up 32% for next year. The local hospital (EIRMC) is no longer covered by private Blue Cross plans. The U of Utah Hospital system out of plan now too. (or 100K deductible)

Met with my health insurance agent yesterday. His opinion is that the whole system is now rapidly circling the drain. Those that pay for their own insurance already know. Hillary and those that have government jobs, government subsidized care, or employer provided care think we can work this out. I wish it were true.

The agent’s advise was to have a plan to get through the next couple of years. Premiums will double again. After that, the stuff will have hit the fan. It will no longer matter. His best advice is to reduce income to qualify for subsidies. Really? Is that all you have ….buy an King Ranch? I kind of like that idea. I have never owned a new vehicle.

This is where we are. Show a loss (AKA Trump) to qualify for ACA subsidies (AKA Hillary). I now pay $25K a year in premiums and deductible for free birth control or a sex change. Should I go for the King Ranch or the sex change? If I get the King Ranch, I definitely won’t need the sex change. Nah, I’m sticking with my 2007 F150 with 250K+ miles. I’m getting old, but I still kind of like the idea of being a guy. If the truck breaks down, I will run the rest of the way. If the junk breaks down ?????????????
