granted allegro… still, despite past crimes, folks like himself, Rubin, Wilson et al are needed to keep the country from going into full fascism. I can at least forgive them that much as being Americans who decry what their efforts have resulted in… maybe they were simply being so wrapped up in Cleek’s theory of political governance to fully understand where it would lead. I have a hard time in these days to staying in full on rage at them when they are out there helping to bring forth light and perspective to people who wouldn’t piss on us if we were on fire.

I don’t disagree, yet… my feeling in my bones is that Kristol’s problem with Trump and his cult are embarrassments of decorum, not ideological. I haven’t seen him take issue with the substantive destruction WRT immigration, tax, CHIP, etc. It’s all image related. He just appears to be horrified to be in the same box as the crass boor he helped to elect.
